Even in this sensitive market segment, Schüco is able to offer optimal system solutions.

Resistance classes

The definition of resistance classes according to UNI ENV 1627 is based on static tests and dynamic tests.

  • RC1 – WK1: anti-lift protection and basic security against burglary attempts using physical force such as kicks, pushing, shoulder blows or lifting the sash.
  • RC2 – WK2: resistant to burglary attempts on closed and/or locked elements using tools such as screwdrivers, pliers and wedges.
  • RC3 – WK3: resistenti ai tentativi di scasso degli elementi chiusi con l’ausilio di un piede di porco o di un secondo cacciavite.
  • RC4 – WK4: resistant to burglary attempts on closed elements using tools such as saws, axes, chisels and cordless drills.

Secondo le statistiche, in Germania ogni 2 minuti avviene uno scasso in case o appartamenti privati. Grazie al suo sistema di porte ADS, Schüco offre un gran numero di possibilità per rendere sicuri gli elementi di apertura. Per valutare la resistenza delle porte, con le norme UNI EN 1627-1630, sono state introdotte classi di resistenza dei componenti costruttivi. Da queste classi risulta quanto una porta deve resistere ad un tentativo di scasso.

Bullet-resistant systems

Schüco designs products capable of ensuring the highest possible protection while maintaining consistent profiles and design elements.
Samples are tested in the new ballistic facility using different projectiles, angles and distances up to 25 m. By passing these tests, windows, doors and façades obtain the FB1–FB7 classification, guaranteeing no penetration and no splintering on the interior side.
Before official certification, Schüco performs a pre-test with precise velocity measurement (up to 810 m/s for “spitzer” projectiles). The tests follow DIN EN 1522/1523 (Feb. ’99) and certification takes place at the Ballistics Office of Ulm.
